Large restructuring group of a leading private equity firm had a team of analysts that were using a combination of Excel spreadsheets, Word documents and various Web data subscriptions to identify potential clients for their advisory work. Managing and sharing this data was very labor intensive, time consuming and error prone. Since the managers of the restructuring group decided there was no existing software product to automate and facilitate the process of client identification, they engaged NorthPoint to develop a custom software application.
