Case Study: BET

NorthPoint is designing a centralized management console for BET.com’s editors and producers to manage editorial content as well as video content that is managed across multiple repositories. NorthPoint worked closely with BET to conceptualize the solution and develop a Rich Internet Application that provides the content teams with a sophisticated, easy to use interface into the system.

• The console provides a single interface into multiple BET.com systems (CMS, Video Repositories, Community and Blogs).
• The console also ties into BET’s internal Wiki to provide context sensitive help.
• The console framework is a Rich Internet Application being developed using the EXTJS JavaScript library.
• The interface provide full drag-and-drop functionality and allows BET to create video libraries for syndication to external partners.
