ZogSports: NorthPoint launches ZogSports on a new CMS Platform
ZogSports is a charity-focused, co-ed, social sports club that promotes charity and social action amongst young professionals in New York. ZogSports wanted the ability to expand their services across multiple regions and create a franchise business model. In addition, ZogSports needed a flexible platform that would allow them to continue to expand their business focus into new areas.
The Solution
NorthPoint developed ZogSports business platform around Ektron CMS400 and the NorthPoint Ektron Framework. The system supports all areas of ZogSport’s expanding business including registration, team management, scheduling, field permit management, email management (through integration with Exact Target), and the social components needed for team camaraderie.
The ZogSports solution is designed to support the easy creation of new franchise instances which allow complete siloing or cross franchise sharing of all business information, users, and rules. ZogSports is currently running both ZogSports New York and a new ZogSports New Jersey on their new platform.

- ZogSports’ customer centric approach to business required the implementation of an ecommerce solution with a wide range of rules and caveats. Players can pay for themselves, others, entire teams, and extra players in a variety of formats depending on the sport or activity.

- ZogSports team members, team captains, referees, league managers, and administrators all use the site for different reasons. NorthPoint’s Context Based Permissioning System allows easy separation between accessible functionality and content.
